Sustainable Nepal co-founders Andi Islinger and Vic Gaffney share a similar passion for Nepal. It's a beautiful part of the world, the culture is interesting, challenging, and the people genuine and warm-hearted.

Our main projects under the umbrella of Sustainable Nepal include:

(1) Developing the national NGO - Permaculture Nepal - proactively, and establishing the region's first South Asian Permaculture Research Institute;
(2) Developing our proactive Earth-Craft activities which includes proactive involvement and engagement with local communities within Nepal ... including in particular encouraging the preservation and continuity of local crafts, skills (blacksmithing, masonry, weaving etc etc...) particularly amongst the younger generation;
(3) Building and developing our new 40 acre project in the Dhading region of central Nepal ... a large permaculture community development project;
(4) Growing our small Himalayan Motorbike Touring business, with fascinating and enriching eco-tours for the adventurous traveller; and
(5) Encouraging overseas eco-homesteaders to invest in eco-friendly homes farms and perma-gardens ... and there's plenty of scope and opportunity here! More information about our eco-property sales will be published in our Nepal Property Sales website.
